The entire team has an entrepreneurial creative spirit that began even as little children. Some set up Kool-Aid stands in their front yards, others sold used board games door-to-door, one designed T-Shirts and a couple of them sold their old “toys” at mom’s garage sales. Over the years each team member also reached out into the community and helped people through volunteerism and encouragement. Today they work together in a variety of creative ways, and one of those ways is to encourage you. “While in high school, we used to design etchings on metal plates covered with specialized paint. When the paint dried, we took a sharp pen-like object and scratched out the image/design we wanted. The plate was then placed in and covered with acid -which slowly dissolved through the uncovered scratched image. After cleaning the plates off, we poured a different specialized paint onto a piece of glass, ran a roller through it and spread the paint over the metal plate. All was covered except for the scratched out image. While it was wet, we would lie a piece of canvas type paper over it and rub it roughly with the bottom of a spoon. After applying the sufficient amount of pressure, we would carefully lift up a corner to see if the image transferred unto the paper. Then the paper was removed and dried. The image that had been dissolved by acid (or etched into the metal plate) would actually become the image that would show up on the paper. I find an interesting parallel between the “etchings” on paper and the “etchings” on our hearts and minds. We go through our lives traveling up and down many different roads; each road provides circumstances that make an imprint on our hearts and minds. Sometimes we may wonder if some of those roads were a waste of time. Yet, each journey engraved a new imprint within us - sometimes taking from us and at other times adding to our lives. Often we felt like we were run over by a roller and pressed beyond recognition through life’s circumstances. It’s important to remember that even through the difficult times, each journey in life is actually part of the engraving on our hearts and minds that either adds to or takes away from who we are and who we are becoming as we grow. Jasper Stone designs and creates products to help people fill some of the emptiness that has dissolved their motivation. To encourage those who were “run” over and pressed down by telling them- never give up! We want to give hope to those who feel like they’ve been torn apart by so many people, situations and difficulties. Our creative works are meant to be a positive etching on the hearts and minds of people everywhere. But most of all, we want to remind people - You do have purpose!
Remember, all of the roads you have and will travel on are a part of the etching that is forming you - the unique and individual YOU. We hope to help that process become a positive experience in your life and in the lives of those you care about.” J and the Jasperstone TeamAbout The Founder
The founder of Jasper Stone Inc. and designer of this website, June Esparza has had many years of experience in reaching out to people and encouraging them - that is the basis of this site. Her creative designs began as a young child because she loved to draw. She dabbled in oil painting, pen and ink, pastels and acrylics, selling many of her designs in art shows. One day she decided to go back to college and attain her degree in Graphic Design- she then developed and taught her own workshops. A few years later she went back to college again, received a degree in Psychology, taught in college and wrote her first book, “Going Back Means Going Forward” encouraging women to go back to school, followed by the Spanish version and the men’s book, “Men Talk About Going Forward…and other things.” She then began to develop training manuals, training workshops and support groups, teaching others how to become leaders and givers into their communities. As she puts it, “When you help equip and encourage one person, they have the opportunity to take what they know into their families and eventually into the communities and out into the world. Never under estimate the power of one." Today she is now the founder of her own business and continues to encourage people through her writings, speaking engagements, training sessions, music, and this web site. She designs and writes many of the cards and stories on a continual basis. Presently, she is also finishing up her novel, “Tiny Seedlings…their journey” a story of five tiny little trees seeking their identity |
